Privacy policy

Scrollloom is an iPhone app by Rakesh Gupta. This policy describes what happens when you use the app. Effective 27 September 2026.

Your recordings and images

You choose a video from the system picker or allow Photos access to see recent screen recordings. Scrollloom copies the selected recording temporarily and stitches it on your iPhone. It does not upload the recording or finished image to a Scrollloom server. Your latest editable result is stored on your device until you delete it, replace it, or remove the app. Images you export to Photos, Files, or another app remain under your control there. Scrollloom asks before deleting a source recording from Photos.

Usage analytics

Usage analytics are off until you choose to enable them. If enabled, Google Firebase Analytics receives feature-use and reliability events such as recording import, trim preview, stitch success or failure, processing duration, editing, export outcome, rewarded-ad outcome, and subscription outcome. Events include fixed categories and numeric measurements. A verified subscription purchase can also include its product, price, currency, and transaction ID. Events do not include recording contents, filenames, Photos identifiers, image pixels, or free-text error messages. Firebase may also process app-instance and device information under Google’s Firebase privacy terms. You can turn usage analytics off at any time with the Privacy button in Scrollloom.

Rewarded ads

If you request a rewarded ad, Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform may process information needed to request, show, measure, and award the ad. Depending on your location and choices, this can include IP address or approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. Where required, Google presents an ad consent form and an option to change ad privacy choices. See Google’s advertising privacy information.

iOS may ask whether you allow tracking across other apps for more relevant advertising. You can decline and still request a rewarded ad. The iOS choice is managed in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Subscriptions and local limits

Apple StoreKit handles Scrollloom Pro purchases, renewals, and billing. Scrollloom checks subscription entitlement with Apple. The two-per-day free count and ad-earned generation credits are stored on your device; reinstalling may reset them. Scrollloom does not run an account service for these features.

Retention and your choices

Delete an editable draft from Scrollloom’s Home screen. Delete exported images and source videos in Photos, Files, or the app where you saved them. You may revoke Photos permission in iPhone Settings. You can disable usage analytics in Scrollloom and change available ad privacy choices from the paywall.
